Our Creative Team Gets Punny With Our 404 Error Pages

It’s happened to everyone. You need information from a website and you’re 99% sure you typed in the correct URL. You hit enter, and get a message saying that the page can’t be found.

A 404 page is a website’s way of saying that what you’re looking for can’t be found at the URL you entered. You’ll find these messages if you are trying to reach a page on our site that doesn’t exist, has been removed or is now located at a different URL.

“We understand that landing on an error page can be a frustrating experience. To help keep our visitors happy, we wanted to create something that was both useful and entertaining. Our hope is that our error page design will help them find their way back to the information they’re looking for while having a little fun along the way.”
Mike Sancin | VP of Marketing, Dumpsters.com

While our goal is to be helpful and informative, we try to stay down-to-earth. So when it came to designing our 404 error pages, we let our creative team have a little bit of fun.  And what did they come up with?
